Rough Step Outline

This is the rough step outline sheet we completed in our group work gathering to give us an idea of the scenes will look like and include at different parts of the song.

We decided that the songs verses should be scenes of the singer in a white room alone. This will be the performance part of the music video. When she is alone in the room she will be singing the lyrics while acting. She will be looking through photos and albums of her past (The photos could be moving like in Harry Potter) while she is upset. As the verses continue she will destroy the photos and even walk into her memories and take herself away from the 'player' character. This will be done by using camera tricks and character doubles.

Also each chorus will represent a different relationship the 'player' character has with various different women. Staring off with the 1st chorus being about Christina's relationship and memories with the boy. Then moving on to a different girl in the 2nd chorus and a 3rd girl in the 3rd chorus. The change is girls throughout the different choruses will show how the 'player' is collecting all the girls hearts.

This will also be symbolised by having a jar with the male 'player' character while he is with the different girl to show he is collecting their hearts. This also corresponds with the songs lyrics. The jar will become fuller and fuller as the music video progresses. The final chorus will show Christina realising that she is better off without her ex as he will only hurt her again. To show she has gotten over him, she will walk into her memory and take the jar of hearts from him. By taking her heart back she is showing her strength and independence.

The outro will consist of her possibly closing the front door or even the photo album as she is repeating the lines 'Who do you think you are' to show she has fully beaten the 'player' character.
